Vetro Studios

Vetro Stuios building is located on Istiklal Caddesi 165, just next to the historical Mısır Apartmanı and St. Antoine Church. The building itself was built in 1930s. The building is re-designed by Arta team to serve as a boutique hotel and head office for ELMS Co. The building sits on a narrow land, and had a very limited space to work on, so all the spaces are carefully designed and many decisions are made on the site. Existing plaster layers are removed to expose brick walls and jack arch ceiling slabs. Inspired by historical texture of the street and the building, the interior designed to have nice and fresh Parisian look. Expanded perlite concrete poured on floors to support the floor slab and provide a good noise insulation loading the existing structure as less as possible. All the exposed brick surfaces painted in white, white hard wood floor tiles installed on the floors. In contrast, dark venge preferred for furnitures and black color preffered for all metal elements. Colorful textiles,traditional rugs and antique acceosires are prefered in all the spaces to give the interior a nice and elegant look.
